Purpose
To report outcomes of LT reconstruction in patients with hip instability and generalized ligamentous laxity.
Methods
Four-patient case series with follow-up up to 24 months. PROs and radiographic findings analyzed.
Key Findings
- Three of four patients improved in function and pain.
- One graft failure occurred, but no complications reported.
Conclusions
LT reconstruction may be beneficial in selected patients with instability due to connective tissue disorders, though outcomes are variable.
What Does This Mean for Providers?
- Consider LT pathology in patients with atraumatic instability and connective tissue disorders.
- LT reconstruction may be effective in restoring stability when other capsular procedures are insufficient.
- Larger studies are needed to define indications and predictors of success.
